Treasure Arc is a series that selects high-quality live recordings!

The third performance from Queen's second visit to Japan in 1976, the performance at Himeji City Welfare Hall on March 24th, is fully recorded! This is a valuable recording that shows that their popularity had spread to the countryside!

The Himeji City Welfare Hall performance on March 24th, 1976 is fully recorded from Queen's second visit to Japan, ``A Night at the Opera Tour''! The previous year, the Queen group came to Japan for the first time as part of the ``Sheer Heart Attack Tour'', and they were thrilled by the hospitality and enthusiasm of Japanese fans. For this second visit to Japan, the number of performances increased from 7 to 11 (including 2 performances in 1 day), and the last performance on April 4th at Ryogoku Nihon University Auditorium (formerly the Kokugikan) was an additional performance, making it even more successful than the previous time. Starting with the first performance at Nippon Budokan on March 22nd, Nagoya on the 23rd and Himeji on the 24th.
One day later, two performances in Fukuoka on the 26th. On the 29th, they performed two more shows in Osaka. After returning to Tokyo, they performed at the Nippon Budokan (for the second time) on March 31 and April 1. Then they performed in Sendai on April 2. The plan was to perform an additional show at the Nihon University Auditorium in Ryogoku on April 4, but Freddie was initially unwell and his throat was in a terrible state. He recovered around the time of the Osaka show, and by the time he returned to Tokyo, he was in top form, and his second Budokan show at this time is very famous among fans. Given this advance information, you may be wondering how the third show of the tour, Himeji, went. As a result, it seems that Freddie cannot sing high notes, and he protects his throat by singing lower melodies. However, there is no roughness at all in the performance, and he gives a very stable performance.
In fact, it seems like a rare version where he sings a different melody than usual. The stability of the performance is not bad either. The set list is standard for this tour, but the selection of songs that is unique to the era when it is only the third year since their debut and the fourth album will be attractive in itself. Fans should check it out.
