LONDON 1977

2 CD

Label: Alive The Live IACD10750
Country: Europe.
Released: December 24th. 2021.
Recorded: Earls Court, London  England, June 1977.
Sound: Very good ~ excellent audience recording.
Comments:  Queen played 2 concert's at Earls Court in London this June, 6th and 7th. Both was professional  filmed and recorded, but so far not released officially in any form.
But a raw video was made out to be shown on UK Queen conventions in the late 80ies and early 90ies. I have been on most all of these conventions, and have seen this video several times.
Copies has slipped out, and ended on several cd & vinyl bootlegs, as well on DVDs.
So the sound source comes as far as I know from this convention video. It's ok sound, but can not be compared to official concert releases.
Since none of these concerts has been officially released, you have to get a bootleg, if you want to listen to it. Have in mind you can probably found the recording on YouTube.
Roots: Sound from a raw Fan Club video, shown on some of the conventions in the early 90ies.

Review from Internet.

The worldwide hit of the movie "Bohemian Rhapsody" reaffirms the greatness of the rock band Queen. The concert that Queen performed on June 6-7, 1977 at Earl's Court in London will be recorded and broadcast for a special BBC TV / radio program. Released as a live album using the sound source used at the time of this broadcast! Also, this live album completely records the set list of the day including the encore.
The concert, which was held as part of the event to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth's crown, was held for two days as the <Silver Jubilee Concert> and was a tour of the Queen's album "A Day at the Races" released the previous year. .. That's why the band's tension is high, and in the encore, they even performed covers of rock'n'roll medley and Elton John's hit songs. It is a long-awaited release for fans who can enjoy the enthusiastic and famous performance of Queen at this time!
