Review from web sale page. Queen, a national artist of the British music scene in the 1970's, has been inactive as a full-fledged band since 1991, but in 2004, Brian May joined forces with former Free, Bad Company and The Firm frontman Paul Rodgers for a world tour as Queen + Paul Rodgers in 2005. In 2004, Brian May performed with Paul Rodgers, former frontman of Free, Bad Company, and The Farm, and in 2005, they toured the world as Queen + Paul Rodgers. The following year, the band released a live album, and in 2008 released "The Cosmos Rocks," a studio album that carried the momentum into the studio. The album reached No. 5 on the UK Album Chart, but failed to make it to the top in the U.S. or Japan.... However, the band performed 43 shows in 20 countries around the world on the "Rock The Cosmos Tour". The concert in Chile on November 19 of the same year was recorded and broadcast as a special TV/radio program in South America. This album was released using the sound recordings from this broadcast, and includes the encores and the complete concert. The band performs songs from the new album, as well as hit songs from Queen's past, and also numbers from Free and Bad Company, making them a new band in their own right. The live performance here is dramatic and powerful, and the band's charm is on full display, making this a long-awaited release for fans! Imported Japanese edition with Japanese obi and bilingual English booklet. |
