Back cover

Following the leading single "Crazy Little Thing Called Love", the album "THE GAME" was sent to No. 1 in the US, and "THE GAME TOUR" was crawling out the cum. Among them the best live album is on fire with Freddie burning up.
Such a work is contained in "Montreal Performance on August 29, 1980". Its precious audience recording. "THE GAME TOUR" has a heyday only for one and a half years, the number of performances is also the most in QUEEN history. First of all, let's check the position of the show in the schedule.

· September 25 - October 18: Latin America # 2 (6 shows)
· November 24th and 25th: North America # 3 (2 shows) Released officially 2cd, 3lp & DVD
Both days merged together on the officially released album.

This is the whole view of the biggest tour. Speaking of Montreal's performance of "THE GAME TOUR", the official work "QUEEN ROCK MONTREAL" comes first, but that was the final tour of the tour in 1981. This work was a completely different performance and was a concert that was the 19th show of "North America # 2" in the first half of the tour (Incidentally, the Montreal show on this tour is only 3 performances in this work and North America # 3, Montreal Forum "was).
This work which recorded a show which can be said even as "QUEEN ROCK MONTREAL 1980 edition" is just a burning live album. Freddie blazes up burning! A good voice has been bursting from the early stage, but it steadily heating up. It is exactly right from the middle of 'Get Down, Make Love'. Not only is the elongation of the treble wonderful, but one word is powerful, Shout has chippiness, and freely vibrato can feel a margin. When saying the exhilaration of "Tempo" like "Save Me" ... ....
Sounds that convey such a hot show are also hot. It is not a type that "totally sound board" and "tour highest peak" is to be called and it is actually a little wild. But it is perfect for a powerful performance. The core with little sense of distance is close to guigui and the edge sharp detail is really vivid. At the time of the show, it also blows out a ferocious enthusiasm (also hot!), But when it fits it draws out a powerfully clear heyday performance vigorously.

Brilliant, powerful sound and masterpiece is a wonderful book, but in fact there are big drawbacks. That is incomplete recording. There is no opening part, "We Will Rock You (fast)" starts with "Another One Bites The Dust". Apparently, it seems that the recording person brought in only one 72-minute tape, and it seems that recording was done with full use of it. Therefore, in addition to the early / late stage as well as between the show, I miss the tape about twice whether I care about the remaining amount ("Get Down, Make Love" middle stage or "Keep Yourself Alive" late / drum solo). Perhaps, when you visited you probably did not think that it would be such an amazing show so far. While witnessing a ferocious performance, the minds of the recording person who would have been suffering from "If you stop here ..." are transparent. It is a live album feels hot even even that bitterness decision.
Of course, omission of recording is a major drawback, but we keep down the delicious points. "Mustapha" "Death On Two Legs" "You're My Best Friend" "Need Your Loving Tonight" "Fat Bottomed Girls" "Set Queen Rock Montreal" The set differs more than one year ago from the set, Also firmly included. "Need Your Loving Tonight" which is performed only by this tour but not performed by the performance is particularly delicious. With this song, you can enjoy all the A songs of "THE GAME".

Anyway it's hot. Sounds, spectators, performances and Freddie are burning up. I will miss the incomplete collection that returns, but it is a hot live album that I would like you to touch it even if you push it. How was QUEEN of that time was the darling of the era? A witness of the sound speaking eloquently than a hundred words. Please, please enjoy it carefully.
