QUEEN live Kiryu's masterpiece "QUEEN ROCK MONTREAL". The stereo sound board album which becomes the ultimate version is release decision. QUEEN now has a lot of live items available as well as the official reconstruction project. Among them, "QUEEN ROCK MONTREAL", which was produced from two shows "Montreal show on November 24, 1981, 25 days," is known as a masterpiece in a masterpiece. Being proud of the great success "THE GAME / FLASH TOUR", being the final performance without support members, being a great set immediately after the release of "GREATEST HITS" (which is also the premiere of "Under Pressure"),
And it was November 24th, 10 years ago when Freddy passed away. Anyway, there is no shortage of anecdotes, and the content is wonderful. Although the best masterpiece can not be decided lightly only by the career of a wide variety, "QUEEN ROCK MONTREAL" is definitely one of the top candidates. Such a masterpiece has a video (DVD / BD version) and a live album (CD version), but it is a two-disc set CD that is particularly appreciated. However, such an official CD also has only one drawback. This work is the ultimate live album whose defects have been corrected by overseas enthusiasts.
[The movie "WE WILL ROCK YOU" which failed to become a historic masterpiece]

First, let's start with the odd fate that this work has taken. There are a lot of famous stories, so please let us know. From the very beginning of the work, it is different from a regular live work. Usually, live images / albums are included as part of the tour, but this Montreal performance is filmed. After "THE GAME / FLASH TOUR" had already ended, it was a show purposely set for the production of the concert movie "WE WILL ROCK YOU", which was proposed by Seoul Swimmer. The 35mm film, which was the highest peak at that time, was used and was planned as the best rock film ever. However, QUEEN who was not used to shooting and a director who was not used to lock clashed. Although there was a lot of friction from the shooting site, after shooting the rights went to the production side, and eventually QUEEN became a no-touch.

The first tragedy happened here. Even though the mix was delayed, theatrical release and software were realized in 1984, but the incomplete version without "Jailhouse Rock", "Flash", and "The Hero", the pitch is high, and It was not seen. Furthermore, despite Freddie's voice being overdubed, the guitar's mistakes are left as it is. Apart from historical films, it was so crap that I didn't think it was a very official work. After that, the biggest problem with the DVD conversion in 2001 was corrected, but another strange thing happened here.
Although "Jailhouse Rock" was additionally recorded, it was not in the original encore, but in front of "Bohemian Rhapsody". The cause is Freddie. He changed his costume on the first day and the second day with a harassment (?) That he would not be able to edit later. As a result, it was not possible to insert the white denim figure “Jailhouse Rock” into the short pan encore image. What's worse, Seoul has destroyed films that were not used during original editing. As a result, the location of "Jailhouse Rock" has not been fixed, and the original "Flash" and "The Hero" images are still missing.
[One more step to the ultimate "QUEEN ROCK MONTREAL"]
And, time is 2007. The current version of "QUEEN ROCK MONTREAL" will appear. QUEEN buys the right from the production side and repairs it greatly. What was particularly remarkable is the CD version. Not only is the sound getting better, it's a complete remix. We cut over Freddie's overdub to the minimum, and replaced "Killer Queen", which had missed the guitar, with the first day take. Not only "Flash" "The Hero" but also "Play the Game" piano intro and MC before "Killer Queen" are recorded longer than before. It is now possible to enjoy the full version of the great performances in which the voice of "Freddy's voice is in perfect condition," said Brian and Roger (but, as mentioned above, the unedited film has been discarded as described above) In order to synchronize the sound board of the CD, it seems to have been edited briefly.

The CD version "QUEEN ROCK MONTREAL" was born in this way. Everything is supposed to be the way it should be ... and only one fault has been left. That's song order. "Jailhouse Rock" is still left behind in the second half of the show. It is a mystery that this defect has remained in the CD version, as it is an irreplaceable video version. As we have overcome all the shortcomings, the world's mania has incised an arm with a single sense of incongruity. And, one of them can not carry the official correction, and this work is made. It is a full live album that has been re-arranged in the order of songs on the spot. In fact, the performances in the correct song order are all natural and perfect. The flow of encore, which swells in "Jailhouse Rock" and falls into "We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions", is full of persuasive power of "Kazu Akari". Also, not only "Jailhouse Rock" but also "Under Pressure" is the last of Disc 1, but this is also a commitment of compilation enthusiasts. I guessed completely, but maybe the official board wanted to start the second piece with the famous song "Under Pressure". However, it is "Keep Yourself Alive" to gain momentum as the entrance of the second half medley. The momentum that should be called the second performance can be felt more vividly.
As a conclusion, it is "QUEEN ROCK MONTREAL" that mania corrects the original song order. However, what is inscribed in the contents is the best condition Freddy of the peak period, and it is the final point reached by four people without support members, and it is the masterpiece live in the masterpiece which should have been in line with "GREATEST HITS". That's why I want to listen in the ultimate form. I want to confirm the form that should be. It is one that the mania mind has come to fruition. Just QUEEN ultimate live album. ★ "QUEEN ROCK MONTREAL" recorded in correct song order! ! This is a must for all fans. QUEEN ultimate live album!
