Back cover

It is a live album of "Premiered Manchester on October 30, 1974" which became the first day of precious "SHEER HEART ATTACK TOUR". On this day, several kinds of boot legs were born from one recording, each one as well as short.
This time it appeared, overseas maniacs combined two good kinds among them, patched the whole image of the show in the best form.

Specifically, from the opening "Procession" to "Son And Doughter" 5 minutes 21 seconds is the source, from the source, 5 minutes 22 seconds to the last "Modern Times Rock 'n' Roll".
As expected it is understood that the moment of switching is "Oh, replaced," but since it was originally the master who departed from the same recording, there is little discomfort.

Well, let's organize the schedule of this time before entering the content of the live album. The last day of the previous work "QUEEN II TOUR" was May 11, 1974, then "SHEER HEART ATTACK" was produced from July to September. And the following single "Killer Queen / Flick of the Wrist" was released on the following October 21. "SHEER HEART ATTACK" will be released on November 8th, so it will be the first day of the tour, this "October 30th" is the timing 9 days after the previous single, 9 days before the release of the album.

In such a situation, the show has plenty of heat in the middle of uploading and tension on the first day. At the new song feel a little stiffness in the performance, the audience listening to the audience. Both the band and the audience are the first live shows to be confirmed through new songs, but the cheers are raised to "Flick Of The Wrist" which was released as a single in such circumstances, the crowd rises in the intro of "Killer Queen", the roar Rolling occurs. Yes, the audience here is not perplexed by new songs. Fans who were looking forward to the new songs of QUEEN are gathered, and the excitement of "What songs will pop out next" is full.

There is also a feeling of muffled sound, a type that precedes the "first day recording" rather than the all-out type like "SHEFFIELD 1974". However, it is never covered with noise, you can listen to the nuance of such a show exactly.

QUEEN who began running up the stairs of success, expectation that can not wait for their album. It is a unique mood felt even in "SHEFFIELD 1974", but on the first day it is more strongly emerging. A live album that inhales plenty of the atmosphere that you can only smell in the UK this time. Please enjoy with press CD.
