Excellent soundboard recording. But not as good as officially live
recordings. |
Comments: |
One more bootleg 2cd from this Sun City concert in South Africa in
1984. Queen played a handful concert there in October that year. So
far, only recording from the last date has seen daylight. This is a
pro-recording, but as far as I know, NOT from any commercial radio
broadcast or similar media. Might be from a leaked archive
recording. This bootleg seams to be a copy from the Wardour label
release "Definitive Sun City", but It might also be from another
bootleg. A handful of bootleg has been released with this concert.
As far as I know, from the same sound source. |
Roots: |
Professional recording. But, not as good as a officially live

Information from Internet page,
It is the talk of Queen's live performances, both good and bad.
After conquering Europe, Asia, Oceania, North America, and South
America, Queen's last stop is Africa. It was then that Queen
received an offer to perform a concert in South Africa, a country
isolated from the rest of the world by apartheid. Queen, who
believes that music has nothing to do with politics, dares to give
the concert despite the worldwide condemnation, and actively visits
black areas during the concert to conduct anti-apartheid activities.
The set list of the concert held on October 19, 1984, includes 24
songs, and this live album contains the complete set. The concert
was held in a unique environment, but the band performed flawlessly
live. This is truly the missing piece of Queen's career! Imported
domestic version with bilingual English booklet.
